Every Summit & Hound tee is built on Comfort Colors 1717. Here’s exactly how to measure, what to expect, and how to size with confidence.
Two Measurements. That's It.
Grab a soft tape measure and a shirt you already own that fits the way you like. Lay it flat on a table, smooth out any wrinkles, and take these two measurements.
Chest Width
Measure straight across the shirt — not around the body — one inch below the armhole. This is the width of the garment when laid flat, doubled gives you the full chest circumference.
Length
Measure from the highest point of the shoulder seam straight down to the bottom hem.
Tip:
If you have a Summit & Hound shirt or a similar tee that fits the way you want, measure that one and compare it directly to the chart below. That's the most accurate way to choose your size.

Comfort Colors 1717 is a garment-dyed tee with a relaxed, unisex fit. It's not slim, and it's not boxy — it sits comfortably and naturally on most body types without clinging.
If you prefer a more fitted, tailored look, we recommend sizing down one size from your usual.
If you prefer a looser, more relaxed fit — or you're layering over it — order your usual size or size up.
