At Summit & Hound, every design is built to be worn — on the trail, at the training field, and everywhere life takes you and your dog. We print on premium Comfort Colors blanks, use quality inks, and care about every order that leaves our hands.

If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to, and it doesn’t change.


What We Cover

Wrong Size? We’ll Sort It.

We know sizing can be tricky. That’s why we publish a detailed size guide with exact Comfort Colors 1717 measurements — and we still understand that sometimes things don’t fit the way you expected.

If your item doesn’t fit, you can return it for the size you need or return it for a full refund. Your choice.

How it works:

  • You ship the item back to us in unworn, unwashed condition with original tags attached
  • You cover the cost of return shipping to our facility
  • Once we receive and inspect the item, we ship your replacement size at no charge, or we process your full refund to your original payment method
  • We’re actively working toward offering free return shipping for size exchanges — we’ll update this policy when that’s in place

Return window: 30 days from your confirmed delivery date.


Damaged or Defective? That’s On Us.

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or with a print quality issue, we want to know immediately. We’ll send you a replacement at no cost — including a prepaid return shipping label so the return costs you nothing.

How it works:

Step 1 — Send us a photo first. Email [INSERT SUPPORT EMAIL] with your order number and clear photos of the damage or defect. This lets us assess the issue right away rather than waiting for the item to arrive. We aim to respond within 1 to 2 business days.

Step 2 — We authorize the return and send a prepaid label. Once we’ve reviewed your photos and confirmed the issue, we’ll email you a prepaid return shipping label. Print it, attach it, drop it off.

Step 3 — Your replacement ships free. As soon as your return is received and inspected at our facility, we ship your replacement at no cost to you. No additional purchase required.

Return window: 30 days from your confirmed delivery date.


What We Don’t Cover

We’re straightforward about this because we think you deserve a clear answer rather than fine print.

We don’t accept returns or issue refunds for:

  • Items returned without prior authorization — please contact us before sending anything back
  • Items returned outside the 30-day delivery window
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • Sizing issues where the item matches the measurements published on our Size Guide — we encourage you to measure before ordering
  • Items returned without original tags
  • General change of mind on a design or color after the order has been fulfilled
  • Orders where an incorrect address was provided at checkout — please double-check your shipping address before submitting

The Pack Membership — Returns and Replacements

Mystery shirts shipped to Pack members follow the same policy as retail orders. If your membership shirt arrives damaged, defective, or with a print issue, contact us within 30 days of your confirmed delivery date with photos and we’ll handle it the same way — prepaid return label, replacement at no cost.

Membership shirts cannot be returned for size preference changes after the first shipment — your size preference is set at enrollment and can be updated for future drops by logging into your account or contacting us at least 14 days before the next scheduled shipment.


Refund Options

Depending on your situation, we offer:

  • Replacement item — the same design in your correct size or undamaged condition, shipped free
  • Full refund — returned to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of receiving and inspecting your return
  • Gift card — if you’d prefer store credit toward a future Summit & Hound purchase, we can issue a gift card for the full value of your order

The choice is yours. Just let us know your preference when you reach out.


How to Start a Return

  • Your name and the email address used to place the order
  • What you received and what you need (wrong size, defective item, refund)

Care Instructions and Longevity

Many issues that look like defects after washing are the result of care habits rather than product quality. Comfort Colors 1717 is a premium garment-dyed fabric — it’s built to last and get better with every wash when cared for correctly.

Before contacting us about a print or fabric issue, please review our full Care Instructions at summitandhound.com/care-instructions. If you followed the care instructions and still have a quality issue, that’s absolutely something we want to know about and will make right.


A Note on Made-to-Order Production

Every Summit & Hound piece is printed after it’s ordered — no warehouse stock, no overproduction, no excess inventory sitting in a landfill. This means your order takes a little longer to arrive than off-the-shelf retail, and it also means that once a print run is underway for your specific item, it cannot be cancelled.

If you need to make a change to your order, contact us at [INSERT SUPPORT EMAIL] as quickly as possible after placing it. We’ll do everything we can to accommodate changes before production begins, but we cannot guarantee changes or cancellations once an order has entered fulfillment.
