1. WHO WE ARE
Summit & Hound is a premium outdoor dog lifestyle apparel brand headquartered in Washington State. We operate summitandhound.com, a WooCommerce-powered e-commerce store selling apparel and related products. We also operate The Pack, a recurring subscription membership program.
Through our Paws with Purpose collection and the “Pack” membership, a large portion of profits from these select products supports service dog training and placement through our partnership with Northwest Elite Working Dogs, a separate legal entity.

From Google: When you find us through Google Search or Google Shopping, Google may share aggregated performance data with us through Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
From payment processors: Stripe shares transaction confirmation, payment status, and fraud signals with us to process and verify your orders.
From GoHighLevel (our CRM): If you are an existing client of Northwest Elite Working Dogs or our dog training or boarding operations and have consented to marketing communications, your contact information may be present in our GoHighLevel CRM system and used to communicate with you about Summit & Hound.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
3.1 To Process and Fulfill Your Orders
- Process payment through Stripe
- Fulfill and ship your order through our partners.
- Send order confirmation, shipping notification, and delivery updates
- Handle returns, exchanges, and customer service requests
- Maintain records of your purchase history
3.2 To Manage Your Account and Membership
- Create and maintain your Summit & Hound account
- Manage your Pack membership subscription including billing, tier benefits, and status changes

Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising): We use Meta’s advertising platform to run targeted ads. We may share your email address with Meta in hashed form to create custom audiences. 5.2 Northwest Elite Working Dogs
Summit & Hound and Northwest Elite Working Dogs are operated by the same founders. If you purchase from the Paws with Purpose collection or join “The Pack” membership, aggregate impact information (not personal identifying information) is shared with Northwest Elite Working Dogs for mission reporting purposes. If you are also a client of Northwest Elite Working Dogs, your information may exist in shared systems under our founders’ operations.
5.3 Business Transfers
If Summit & Hound is acquired, merged with another company, or its assets are transferred, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on our website before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5.4 Legal Requirements

We send marketing emails to customers who have purchased from us and to people who have explicitly subscribed to our email list. Marketing emails include new collection announcements, drop releases, mission updates, and promotional offers.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any marketing email. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails related to your orders or membership.
7.2 Transactional Emails
We send transactional emails related to your orders, account, and membership regardless of your marketing email preferences. These include order confirmations, shipping notifications, membership billing confirmations, payment failure notices, and account-related communications. These emails are necessary to provide the services you have purchased and cannot be opted out of while maintaining an active account or membership.
7.3 Mission Updates
Pack members and customers who opt in receive periodic mission updates from Northwest Elite Working Dogs, including information about dogs in training and placement announcements. Pack members may update their communication preferences by clicking the unsubscribe button.
7.4 SMS Communications
We send marketing texts to customers who have purchased from us and to people who have explicitly subscribed to our email / text list. Marketing texts include new collection announcements, drop releases and promotional offers.
You can unsubscribe from marketing texts at any time by texting “STOP”. Unsubscribing from marketing texts / SMS does not affect transactional Texts related to your orders or membership.
8. DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Account information: Retained for the life of your active account plus 3 years after account closure, or longer if required by law.
Order information: Retained for 7 years to comply with tax and financial record-keeping requirements.
Membership information: Retained for the life of your active membership plus 3 years after cancellation.
Marketing email list: Retained until you unsubscribe, at which point your email address is suppressed from future sends but retained on our suppression list to honor your unsubscribe request.
Analytics data: Retained in aggregated, anonymized form indefinitely. Individual-level analytics data is retained per Google Analytics default settings (26 months).
Support communications: Retained for 3 years after the last communication.
When retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymize your information.
9. DATA SECURITY
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our website (indicated by the padlock icon in your browser)

15. THE PACK MEMBERSHIP — SPECIFIC PRIVACY NOTES
Because The Pack membership involves recurring billing, ongoing communications, and mission-connected benefits, the following additional privacy notes apply:
Billing data: Your payment method information is stored securely by Stripe for recurring billing purposes. Summit & Hound does not store your full card number, CVV, or expiration date.
Placement certificate recognition: Handler tier members who are named on a service dog placement certificate consent to their name (first name and last initial by default, full name if requested) being recorded in the placement documentation of Northwest Elite Working Dogs. This information may be shared in mission update communications to the broader Summit & Hound community unless you request otherwise.
Sponsorship wall: Summit and Handler tier members whose names appear on the Summit & Hound service dog sponsorship wall may request removal at any time by contacting us. Removal will be processed within 5 business days.
Mission updates: Mission update communications include information about dogs in training at Northwest Elite Working Dogs. These communications do not include personal information about service dog recipients or their families.
16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes by:
